Welcome to the cosiest festival in Sweden!
In order to get as much as possible out of your summer-weekend at Öland Roots, we recommend that you read the following information. Hopefully this will answer all of your questions concerning practical things such as festival and camping area rules, car-park and how to get there.

Transportation
The car park is situated some distance from the festival area. The festival provides a shuttle transport that will take you to the festival entrance, and back again when that time comes. The same shuttle will also make a stop at the bus station ”Stora Frö”. The cost will be 10 kr per person and trip, and a time table will be posted here about a month before the festival.

Tickets
Tickets are available directly from our homepage, or in any of our sales offices. A list of those will soon be available here. It is not possible to purchase any tickets at the festival entrance, nor is it possible to buy one day tickets.

Alcohol
There will be a bar inside the festival area which will be open to all over 18 years of age. You can not bring your own alcohol in to the festival area, and glass bottles are completely prohibited.

Age limits
The festival Öland Roots is open to all over the age of 15. If you are under 15 you can only enter in the company of a guardian.

The surroundings
Please respect that the neighbouring houses are not part of the festival area, and try not to offend those who live there. Enjoy the beach and the sea, but please use the garbage cans and don't throw trash in the water.

Graffiti
Last year we had a legal graffiti wall on the festival grounds, however this have generated a lot of scribbling. Because of this there will be no such wall this year. Spray cans are prohibited both inside the festival and on the camping, and those that are found will be confiscated immediately.

Camping
As a visitor to Öland Roots you have access to the camping area, that encircles the festival area on three sides. The camping ground is only for festival guests and you can not enter without a valid ticket. The closest store is some 500m away in ”Haga Park”, and there you can also find beach showers. We have a few simple rules for the safety and well-being of all. All forms of fire is strictly prohibited, except in the special fire place on the camping. This is extremely important as the camping is placed inside a sparse forest. There are fire corridors that must be kept clear from tents and other obstructing objects. Due to lack of room, party tents are not allowed, and due to bad experiences from previous years both glass bottles and spray cans are prohibited and will be confiscated.

Please do not bring things that you do not plan to take home again.

How to get there!
It's easy to find your way to the festival.

1. By bus: Get yourself to Kalmar Central Station and take bus no. 103 or 105, end station Mörbylånga, to ”Stora Frö”. Time table at www.klt.se Get off the bus at the stop ”Stora Frö” and wait for transport via a tractor and wagon shuttle that will take you to the festival gates.

2. By car: Again the description starts in ”Kalmar”. Follow signs towards ”Öland” and go across the bridge. Take the first exit towards Mörbylånga, follow that road through ”Färjestaden” and southwards for around 12km. Take a right when you see the Öland Roots sign pointing to the road to ”Haga Park”.
